A dedication to people, who are making a difference in my life with their presence..
Time comes; Time goes; Moments stay; Memories stay.... while I tried to capture memories of 2011, the most interesting thing that stays on top of the mind is the power of relationship and the influence of our subconscious mind in shaping up these relationships.
Trust me - A simple message which says “You rock.....” can really make wonders. All that people need, is an encouragement – “from the heart”. Majority of people fall into two categories. 1. Who always needs somebody to encourage/suggest things and 2. Who always interferes in the name of suggestions. Nothing much wrong in the first category, for the mind is made that way. But the chances of worrying less are more, when we stop with suggesting things, rather than expecting people to follow what (ever) we say. Had tough time forgetting Mr Aristotle this year, for his quote “Man is a social animal”.
Relationship is also not about winning others; is about letting people win and when you make them win, you actually realize that you have already gone past the victory line. This letting people win needs one to accept reality along with patience. Talking of patience, the level of patience is directly proportional to the success of the relationship, according to me, while it is unfortunate that some have to wait until their next birth to realize this.
Time and again realized, mind power is really influential. The power of mind is such - it can find reasons to do or not to do a thing, ceteris paribus. The best part is - the mind laughs at those for which it cried before and cries at those it laughed at. While life is full of uncertainties, change is the only thing that is constant and we all understand this - still reacts to uncertainties, involuntarily many times. Reminds me of a quote of Arthur C. Clarke - As I grow to understand life less and less, I learn to love it more and more.
What a true love can achieve was well potrayed through the emotionally rich movie “MAYAKKAM ENNA”, without any cliched frills. While this movie will always have a special place in my heart for “YAMINI” and for the deft narration, Pirai Thedum number by playback singer Saindavi, deserves a ‘special’ mention.
My memories of 2011 will not be complete, if I don’t mention about this (beloved) blog of mine, which I started in early 2011, after a lot of thinking – 99% to start the blog and 1% to write the blog. Never realized my thought process can ramble from Osama/Obama to most treasured relationship – Mother. Thanks to all those who influenced my thoughts, shared their feedbacks, provide continuous encouragement.
Last but not the least, for good or bad reasons, the world has become competitive and become a stage for the survival of the fittest. Realized that the concept of RAT RACE, a pointless pursuit, though traditionally being referred to things @ work, it is applicable in all our personal lives at some point in time. Looking forward to a year without this race.
Would love to close this blog with one of the most favourtie lines that I heard in this year:
